Let’s face it; college is not for everyone. Whether you don’t like the idea of four more years of book learning after high school or don’t want to be buried under a mountain of debt by the time you are 21, you are not alone. What I am saying is, you don’t need to spend time and money pretending to care about college if you genuinely feel that it will not make a difference in your life. Trust me; so many people succumb to the pressure of college only to realize that they absolutely hate it.

That said, I will strongly encourage you to explore all your options and if you still think that college is not for you, then to heck with it, right?

Fortunately, there are many opportunities to earn a sexy salary even if you don’t have a bachelor’s degree. Today, we are going to talk about a few of them. The goal here is to help you explore some of the career opportunities, while skipping college, that will make you a decent buck!

Operating a subway sounds quite awesome if you ask me! Although the job requires a lot of patience, moderate-term on-job training and standing for the most part of the day, it sure is not a bad career option.

Couple that with the median annual salary of $64,680 and what you have is a recipe for an awesome career; don’t you think? The job does not require any college or even an associate’s degree.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the projected job openings through 2024 are going to be 5,200. Not too shabby at all!

Power plant operators are the hard-working guys and gals who literally help power our great nation. As a power plant operator, you will have to control, operate and maintain some heavy machinery that is used to generate electricity.

All you need is a high school diploma or an equivalent, and you are on your way. Sure, it is not an easy job, and you do have to work hard, but considering the remuneration, it is not a bad deal at all. Don’t you think?

7. Commercial Pilots
